Choose a book, record where you are, and set a daily goal. Your progress is stored in localStorage in this browser; it is not uploaded to a user account.
If the EPUB has no fixed print pagination, the tool starts with an estimated page count and lets you replace it with the page total shown by your own reader.

The reading tool gives you honest estimates of how long a book will take, based on word counts and typical reading speeds. The catalog's median book is about 21,804 words, which translates to roughly 95 minutes.
Estimates are approximate; your own pace may differ. Use the tool to plan your reading sessions and choose books that fit your schedule.

Reading Tracker treats progress in pages, not minutes or sections. You set a current page, a total page count, and a daily page goal, and the tracker estimates how long the rest of the book will take. For most of the catalog, the total page count is not fixed in the metadata, so the tracker starts with an estimate: it divides the word count by 250 words per page. You can replace that estimate with the page count shown in your own reading app or printed edition.
The initial page count is a practical starting point. For a book like "Poetry of the Anti-Jacobin Comprising the Celebrated Political and Satirical Poems, of the Rt. Hons. G. Canning, John Hookham Frere, W. Pitt, the Marquis Wellesley, G — A Reader’s Guide," which has 125,794 words, the estimate would be about 504 pages. That number gives you a sense of scale, but it is not authoritative. Different editions paginate differently, so the tracker lets you adjust the total to match what you actually have.
If you are reading on a device, your e-reader may show a different page count based on font size and screen. The tracker’s flexibility means you can align it with your real reading experience. The daily goal defaults to 20 pages, but you can change it to anything that fits your routine.
Once you enter your current page and total pages, the tracker calculates how much time is left. It uses the book’s estimated reading minutes and scales them proportionally: if you are halfway through the pages, you have roughly half the minutes left. For the Anti-Jacobin volume, the estimated reading time is 547 minutes. If you are on page 250 of 504, you would have about 271 minutes left, or roughly 4.5 hours.
Finish days are simpler: the tracker divides the remaining pages by your daily goal and rounds up. At 20 pages a day, 254 remaining pages would take 13 days. If you raise the goal to 30 pages, that drops to 9 days. The calculation is transparent, so you can see exactly how your pace affects the finish date.
Your progress history is stored in localStorage on your current browser. No account is required, and the data stays on your device. This means you can close the page and return later without losing your place, as long as you use the same browser. If you switch devices, you will need to enter your current page manually. The tracker is a lightweight companion for your reading, not a cloud service.
